Italian spagyric tradition in every drop
Erbenobili, herbal tinctures produced using a patented spagyric method
Erbenobili is an Italian brand from the heart of Puglia that combines centuries-old herbal tradition with modern laboratory precision. Every product is based on the philosophy that a plant works best as a whole, not as an isolated substance torn from its natural context.
What makes Erbenobili exceptional
While common herbal tinctures are macerated in water and alcohol, Erbenobili uses the traditional spagyric method: herbs are left to macerate for 28 days in a solution of red wine and spagyric alcohol. The plant residue is subsequently calcined at 850 °C, and the resulting mineral salts are returned to the tincture. This creates a more concentrated and complex extract than what is offered by classic maceration.
The phytocomplex philosophy
Erbenobili relies on the concept of the phytocomplex—the idea that a plant’s active ingredients work together synergistically and function better collectively than any isolated component. This approach builds on the legacy of the Swiss physician Paracelsus and views spagyrics as a bridge between traditional herbal medicine and modern phytotherapy.
Six product lines
The collection includes six lines based on the type of processing and purpose: Composti (herbal complexes for specific ailments), Olosvita (herbs supplemented with vitamins and minerals), Fitoblasto (gemmotherapy from plant buds), Fitomater (single-ingredient spagyric tinctures), Oligoceleste (trace minerals without alcohol, also suitable for children and seniors), and the children's line Carezze Nobili.
Quality you can rely on
The products are created in a GMP-certified laboratory, carry the Organic and Vegan OK labels, and undergo quality control by independent external laboratories. The production process is protected by an Italian patent.

What does "spagyria" mean?
The word spagyria comes from Greek: spao = to separate, ageiro = to reunite. It is a method that:
- separates the individual components of a plant (organic, mineral),
- purifies them (fermentation, filtration, calcination),
- reunites them into a single extract.
The goal is to obtain a mother tincture with maximum purity, efficacy, and a complete plant profile, including mineral salts.
Basic principles of spagyria
Traditionally, three principles of a plant are discussed:
- Body (Salt) – mineral components, ash, salts.
- Soul (Sulfur) – essential oils, aromatic substances.
- Spirit (Mercury) – alcohol and aqueous fraction, carrier of active substances.
Spagyria separates, purifies, and reunites these parts to create an extract that:
- preserves the complete spectrum of active substances,
- has higher bioavailability,
- is more stable than conventional tinctures.
Production process (how Erbenobili does it)
Erbenobili has its own patented process that combines traditional spagyric steps with modern quality control.
1. Raw material selection
- Fresh medicinal plants from a certified chain are used.
- Emphasis on origin, quality, proper harvesting, and processing.
2. Solution preparation
- Plants are placed in glass carboys.
- A mixture of spagyric alcohol and red wine is added in a 1:1 ratio.
- Red wine increases extraction capacity and enriches the extract with its own bioactive substances.
3. Maceration
- Carboys are placed in greenhouses on river sand.
- Conditions: constant temperature around 37 °C, controlled humidity, light (sun, moon).
- The process takes 28–40 days, proceeding slowly, without extraction stress for the plant.
4. Decantation and pressing
- After maceration, the solution is decanted – the liquid part is separated.
- The remaining plant material is pressed to release the remaining functional components.
- Two fractions are obtained: liquid (tincture), solid (plant residue).
5. Calcination
- The solid residue is placed in a ventilated oven and calcined at approximately 850 °C.
- Ash is formed, which contains mineral salts and functional elements of the plant.
- These salts are then dissolved in the alcoholic solution obtained from maceration.
6. Reunion
- Mineral components (Salt) are returned to the liquid fraction (Spirit + Soul).
- This creates a spagyric mother tincture – a complete plant extract.
- The solution is allowed to rest for approximately 12 days to stabilize.
What this means for Erbenobili products
- Complete extract – not only organic substances, but also mineral components.
- Gentle extraction – long maceration, no "fast" extraction stress.
- Stability and purity – controlled temperature, time, environment, patented process.
- Higher bioactivity – due to the combination of wine, alcohol, mineral salts, and the spagyric process.
